Financing and Investors
In 2005 the company received a SMART award from the East of England Development Agency (EEDA). This competitive award part-funded the initial development of the broadband optical amplifier and enabled commercialisation of the materials process.
In 2008 the company received further EEDA awards to extend the materials process to gas sensing applications.
The company has also been funded by a group of private individuals, who have provided ongoing investment in since 2005.
