Trackdale has been in receipt of two DTI Smart awards; the first in 2002 of £45,000 enabled the founders to successfully prove feasibility of a material for use in a fibre-optic amplifier in the Telecommunications industry. The company received a further Smart award for £200,000 in 2004 to develop the amplifier further into a series of prototype devices.
Trackdale is fully funded through founders’ funds and a group of private individuals.
